Christ-centered learning
The Mt. Horeb Preschool was established to give young children a safe, nurturing environment where they could grow — not just academically, but as whole persons. We believe the earliest years matter more than we can fully measure.
Our program is play-based and developmentally appropriate, designed to build social skills, early literacy, curiosity, and confidence. And woven through all of it is the grace and love of God — present in how we treat each other, in the songs we sing, and in the community we build together.
Many families start at the preschool and find their way into the Mt. Horeb congregation. We love when that happens — but it's never required. Every child and every family is welcome here exactly as they are.
Every day is intentionally designed to balance structure with freedom, learning with play, and community with individual growth.
Children learn through doing — exploring, creating, building, and playing together. Our curriculum is designed to meet children where they are and grow from there.
Simple Bible stories, songs, and conversations help children understand that they are loved by God. This isn't heavy theology — it's the foundation of knowing they matter.
Small class sizes mean children know their teachers and their classmates. We work intentionally to build genuine community — the kind that carries forward into elementary school and beyond.
Our faith isn't a separate subject — it's the atmosphere. Children experience grace in the way they're treated, the way conflicts are resolved, and the way every child's dignity is honored every day.
"Let the children come to me." — Luke 18:16
Enrollment in the preschool does not require church membership. All families are welcome, regardless of faith background.
The best first step is a tour — come see the space, meet our teachers, and ask all your questions. No commitment required. We're happy to walk you through everything.
