Jim returns to Mt. Horeb after serving as organist and choir director here from 1980 to 1983. He has taught music in Irmo, Birmingham, Shreveport and Tulsa, working as a church musician for much of that time, and retired from Redeemer Lutheran in St. Andrews in December 2024 — briefly. His goal at The Mount is to craft church music that awakens vibrant worship, and he'd love to hear from anyone interested in the choir, handbells, or playing an instrument.
